Community Living Assistance and Support Services
General Information
CLASS provides home- and community-based services to people with related conditions as a cost-effective alternative to placement in an Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Related Conditions (ICF-IID). A related condition is a disability, other than mental retardation, that originated before age 22 and that affects the ability to function in daily life.

Methodology/Rules
The Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) program-specific Reimbursement Methodology is located in Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, Subchapter E, Rule §355.505. This rule sections explain in detail how the CLASS payment rates are calculated.
Cost Determination Process Rules applicable to the CLASS program are located in Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, Subchapter A, Rules §§355.101-111.
Rules pertaining to the maintenance of contractor records for the CLASS program are located in Title 40 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 1, Chapter 69, Subchapter K, Rule §69.158.
Rules pertaining to the Attendant Compensation Rate Enhancement are located at Title 1 of the Texas Administrative Code, Part 15, Chapter 355, SubChapter A, Rule 112.
