Texas Electronic Benefit Transfer Programs

 

 

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) - Lone Star Business Services (LSBS) Unit manages and supports the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP food benefits) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF cash benefits) program.

The Texas EBT Program uses the Lone Star card (a magnetic-stripe plastic debit card) to provide individuals and households that qualify for benefits with access to their SNAP and TANF benefits.
