Laredo residents who need to apply for benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families will have a new office to go to starting Jan. 18. The HHSC eligibility office at 8511 McPherson Road will close Jan. 15 and the office will reopen Jan. 18 at 500 E. Mann Road, Suite B4. Read the news release in Spanish

Scott joined HHSC in January, where he served as the chief architect behind the agency's internal ethics and contracting reform. He will return to the private sector, where he is known as one of the top civil litigation attorneys in Texas history.
