Proposed amendment concerning Hearing Aid Services, Benefits and Limitations

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on the proposed amendment to §354.1231 under Title 1, Part 15, Chapter 354, Subchapter A, Division 15, Hearing Aid Services, Benefits and Limitations.
HHSC proposes to limit coverage for hearing aids for adults to one hearing aid when there is hearing loss in both ears. Hearing loss in one ear (for adults) will no longer qualify for coverage of a hearing aid.
