HHSC announces the release of the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) 529-12-0005 to procure Texas Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) services from a single qualified vendor to provide Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits to eligible Texas clients. The DRAFT RFP provides an opportunity to review and comment before formal release. No contract is awarded from information received under a DRAFT RFP; however, the information received will be reviewed for the purposes described in the DRAFT RFP. HHSC requests that comments about this DRAFT be submitted electronically via the attached Comment Form and sent to the HHSC point of contact listed below and in Section 1.2. of the Draft RFP. HHSC will consider all submitted comments, but will NOT respond to any comments or questions during the Draft RFP review period. The comment period for the Draft RFP ends at 2 PM Central Time, June 16, 2011. Public comments concerning the Draft RFP are subject to public disclosure under the Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552.
