Renewing Our Communities Account Advisory Committee
About
The Renewing Our Communities Account Advisory Committee was created by House Bill 492 during the 2009 legislative session. The advisory committee will make recommendations on the powers and duties related to the Renewing Our Communities Account. The account was established by the 2009 Legislature to increase the capacity of faith- and community-based organizations to provide charitable services, to help local governments establish offices to promote faith- and community-based initiatives, and to foster partnerships between state government and faith- and community-based organizations.
HHSC contracts with the OneStar Foundation to administer Renewing Our Communities Account funds. The OneStar Foundation website includes information about the account, funding opportunities and grantees.
