If you are working but don’t make much money, you may be able to lower your taxes with the Earned Income Tax Credit.

To find out if you can get the credit, use the Internal Revenue Service’s online EITC Assistant.

Tax Assistance Programs

If you have low to moderate income, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program can give you free help with your tax return.

If you are age 60 and older, the Tax Counseling for the Elderly program can give you free help with your tax return.
