What is the TexMedNet Bulletin Board System?

The TexMedNet Bulletin Board System (BBS) furnishes electronic mail (Email) and library capabilities. The following are some examples of what you will find in the BBS library:

APPEALS	Library for uploading appeals
BANNERPG	Medicaid and CIDC Banner Pages
DOCSPECS	Vendor Specifications
FEESCHED	Medicaid Reimbursement Fees
GENERAL	General Information
REFFILES	Library for reference files
TXMEDNET	Overview of TexMedNet

How do I access the bulletin board system?

For initial access to the TexMedNet BBS, follow the procedures listed below. When you begin implementing TexMedNet services you are assigned your own user identification.

Using a communications software package (TDHconnect comes with a communications software package)...

Dial the TexMedNet BBS at (512)514-4895. Type your User ID and press [Enter]. (Your initial User ID is any month, January through October)
Type your password at the prompt and press [Enter]. (Your initial password is NHIC)
The system will prompt you for the remaining selections
