Renewing Our Communities Account Advisory Committee

HHSC is accepting applications for representatives to serve on the Renewing Our Communities Account Advisory Committee.

Background
The Renewing Our Communities Account Advisory Committee was established by House Bill 492 during the 2009 legislative session. The advisory committee will make recommendations to the HHSC Executive Commissioner regarding the powers and duties with respect to the Renewing Our Communities Account, as described by Section 535.105 of House Bill 492. The advisory committee will work with HHSC and the OneStar Foundation to conduct meetings.

Members
Applications are being accepted from leaders of Texas faith- and community-based nonprofit organizations.

Membership on the advisory committee requires participation in at least two advisory committee meetings that may take place in different areas. Members will not receive compensation for participation on the advisory committee. Advisory committee members not employed by the state of Texas may be reimbursed for travel expenses.
